NBA Trade Rumors: Markieff Morris To Indiana Pacers Possible Option As Suns May Have To Sell Low

Phoenix Suns power forward Markieff Morris.

The biggest news of the offseason was the Phoenix Suns' Markieff Morris public trade demand. It's already the end of the year but he's still with the team.

According to his twin brother Marcus Morris, who is now with the Detroit Pistons, the forward still wants out. He confided as much to the Detroit Free Press (h/t Fox Sports).

"One thing about Keef is he's always positive," Marcus said. "Some stuff might happen a little, but he's always positive. He's still looking to get out of there, still looking to go somewhere else. Right now he has to be a pro and continue to take care of his business on and off the court."

Marcus may have been "saved" from the eventual turmoil of the Phoenix Suns as he has joined a rising team with Detroit Pistons. He did not have very encouraging remarks about his former team.

"It's self-explanatory," Marcus said. "You see what's going on. Sorry to say it, but it's self-explanatory. I don't know what's going on over there. It's like a (clown) show right now."

It is probably best for both the Suns and Markieff to part ways at this point. The Suns may have to let go of their goal to land an equal value haul for Markieff as it is clear that they can't handle the situation.

One team that could get much better if they add Markieff is the Indiana Pacers. It has been suggested in a Real GM forum (by user 'Golabki') that the Pacers try to send a package of Chase Budinger and Solomon Hill for Morris-and that's probably the best package they could get, considering the recent suspension and how the Suns are not even playing Markieff prior to that.

The Suns have been beset by a string of very unfortunate events, culminating in their best player (Eric Bledsoe) getting injured and declared out for the season. It may be time to tank.
