Mark Salling is currently filming "Gods and Secrets" but his participation in the movie is in jeopardy after he was arrested for child pornography on Dec. 29, 2015. It was supposed to be his comeback project but his situation at the moment could hinder his return if he is to be pulled out from the cast line-up.

The director of the movie has not made any decision yet on whether they the former "Glee" star could keep his role in the independent movie or not. Rather, he said that he will wait until the truth comes out.

"Today I was made aware of the serious allegations against Salling as a result of numerous media outlets hounding me as to whether he would remain in Gods and Secrets," director Adi Shankar told E! News.

"I won't feed our growing pitchfork culture," Shankar added. "I'm going to wait for all the facts to arrive and if in fact these allegations are true, I will immediately take action which includes removing his scenes from the project."

The LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit secured a search warrant and arrested the actor in his home in Sunland, California. He was taken by the police and booked on $20,000 bail. He was released on Saturday after his family bailed him out.

The investigators from the Cyber crime of LAPD have discovered hundreds of pornographic materials featuring girls under 15 and as young as 10 from Salling's computer, TMZ reported.

If proven guilty, Salling can be jailed for up to five years. He is scheduled to appear in court hearing on Jan. 22.
