Besides fleeing to London to be with his father, Rocco Ritchie first blocked his mother, Madonna, from his Instagram account and then deleted it.
The drastic measures he took the last few days indicate how far away or disconnected he wants to be from the singer. Rocco seems to have developed a rebellious heart after he joined Madonna Rebel Heart tour.
Before he blocked Madonna on Sunday, the 15-year-old allowed his father, Guy Ritchie, and stepmother, Jacqui Ainsley, to see his posts, along with his 138,000 followers. One source of The Sun comments that the reason behind the youth's action is he is embarrassed by Madonna's posts about him, while the source hopes it is just a teen phase that Rocco is going through, reports Daily Mail.
Rocco prefers living in London with his father and three step siblings because of the "stable and loving" home atmosphere in the Ritchie household, while he feels that Madonna considers him more as a trophy than a sun, reports TMZ. He also finds his mother too controlling and does not give him that much real attention.
On New Year's Eve, he posted on Instagram his photo on a rooftop. He is seen wearing a blue cap with his long hair tied in a ponytail while looking back at the camera.
A legal battle for Rocco's custody is expected both in the U.S. and UK where Madonna has filed a lawsuit for her son to return to their home. A New York judge has set in February the hearing in the U.S.
