Carpenter Li Jingyang, 65, built an electric-powered wooden horse, wooden bicycles and wooden massage equipment.

It took Li six years to design the horse, which he completed in 2014 at his residential village courtyard in Yongji County, Northeast China's Jilin Province. The wooden horse was recently approved as a national patent.

Since childhood, Li has shown a natural interest for mechanical devices, although he was barely educated on the subject, spending only six year in the formal education system.
