Disney has announced that Mulan is going to be live-action, so here are three of the ideal actresses to play the role of an Ancient Chinese hero.

Disney is all about making money. The Home of Mickey Mouse can simply start printing their money and probably use it as a currency. Well actually, this is what they have been doing for many years.

It can be difficult to transform to 3D computer animation; however, enterprising folks in the company have found a way to gain more earnings using the old 2D art cells. They call it the live-action adaptation. There has already been one film made for this purpose, like the trailer of Jon Favreau's very action "Jungle Book" film, which has brought about a realization that these films may indeed be great movies for families to watch.

"Cinderella" and "Maleficent" have made a romantic fairy tale and a fantasy epic as well. Disney is now venturing into crowd-pleasing adventures such as the historical war epic "Mulan." Disney has announced that this film is going to be live-action, so here are three of the ideal actresses to play the role of an Ancient Chinese hero. Obviously, they have to come from an Asian descent, so here are the picks.

Ziyi Zhang

Her name can clearly be near the top of any list for "Mulan." She's accomplished in terms of action hero with dramatic acts to pull real emotions during the big moments of the story. Mulan may have to leave her family to go off to war. Just picture Zhang cutting off her hair and wearing the cracked and aged set of her father's armor.

In the last ten years or so, Ziyi Zhang can make many filmgoers think of Chinese period fantasy action. She has portrayed amazing, physical roles in "Rush Hour 2," "House of Flying Daggers," "Hidden Dragon" and "Crouching Tiger." She's a great singer too with contributions to many soundtracks.

Constance Wu

Her humor is something that shouldn't be lost in the scramble toward adventure and action when she plays Mulan. Her Shakespearean disguise comedy and misfit nature demand an actress to give the character a big, definable personality with landing jokes.

Wu portrays the character Jessica on "Fresh Off the Boat," which is currently a big hit. She has shown a great amount of energy and precision in comedy spots like "Spooked" and "Children's Hospital."

Fan Bingbing

Playing Mulan, Fan Bingbing can be comfortable with a period costume and the filling of the shoes of a national legend. She can definitely handle the traditional women's garb as easily as full battle armor. She's also a great singer which makes her carry over the fantastic songs from the original animation. She will definitely make a beautiful Mulan.

Fan is a recent producer of her own television series "Jintai-Pan" and an award-winning actress. Over the last few years, the actress has been transitioning to mainstream Hollywood work. She was featured prominently in some sequences in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" as teleporter Blink, and the Chinese cut of "Iron Man 3."
