Latest details on "Tekken 7" will feature a new rumored "Scenario Campaign", returning characters from previous titles and the development of "Tekken X Street Fighter" being delayed.
"Tekken" game director Katsuhiro Harada answered several tweeted questions from gaming fans and revealed some exciting details on their plans for "Tekken 7". One such question from a fan is that will "Tekken 7" feature any returning animal fighter such as Panda, Alex, Roger and Roger Jr. Harada tweeted his answer by saying "If ther are a lot of request".
Aside from the animal fighters, another fan asked Harada if "Tekken 7" will feature another beat'em up mode similar to "Tekken 6's" Scenario mode as Harada replyed by saying that they will do their best Attack of the Fanboy reported. Although, Harada did not make any clear answers, he is indeed listening to the gaming fans request and suggestions indicating that Harada and Bandai Namco are planning something big for "Tekken 7" in console versions soon.
Bandai Namco is currently developing an updated version of the game called "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" and has recently made several arcade test in selected Japanese arcades. "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will feature two new playable characters, Nina Williams and Akuma from the "Street Fighter " game series. New character outfits, locations and updated Rage System are also introduced within the game as well.
"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution's" development may lead to a late 2016 launch for "Tekken 7" in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles as Game Designer Michael Murray stated that they have not yet started working on the game for the consoles, but will start immediately when all of the gathered data from the arcades are implemented within its development.
It current roster includes Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Asuka, Lili, Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Dragunov, Leo, Lars, Alisa and Nina. New faces are also present in the game such as Lucky Chloe, Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, Jose Rizal, Shaheen, Gigas, Jack-7, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.
In other news, its seems that the "Tekken X Street Fighter" crossover will likely be delayed this year as Murray told Gameblog (via Shoryuken) that the current status of the game is very difficult to determine at the moment due to "Tekken 7" and "Street Fighter 5".
Harada stated that the development for "Tekken X Street Fighter" is "pretty far" and has been quiet about the status of the project since. However, Murray explained that the crossover is being based on the PC, meaning the transition to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles should not be out of the question.
"Tekken 7" is speculated to launch on late 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
