“Modern Family” Season 7 returns with an all new episode, titled “Thunk in the Trunk,” this Wednesday, February 17 on ABC. Episode 13 will focus on Phil (Ty Burrell) and Claire’s (Julie Bowen) relationship, and how their household is affected by her taking over Jay’s (Ed O’Neill) closet company.
According to the official synopsis for "Modern Family" Season 7 episode 13, Phil feels unappreciated now that Claire is busy working in a corporate setting again. When Jay stepped down, Claire agreed to take over, which meant that Phil will have to take more responsibilities at home, making her the new housewife. Spoilers, however, revealed that Phil will eventually stand up to Claire and talk things out.
Meanwhile, Gloria's (Sofia Vergara) hot sauce business has really taken off. It seems like she even started supplying on the local grocery stores. What better way to promote it by having a life-size cutout of Gloria next to her product, right? Unfortunately, the display got a lot of unsavory attention from men, which drove Jay nuts. With help from Manny (Rico Rodriguez) the two steals the cutout to Gloria's dismay.
"Wait 'til I catch this rat. I'm gonna make him hurt. Every thief makes a mistake," Gloria said in the promo.
On the other hand, Cam (Eric Stonestreet) and Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) are being extra hospitable to their houseguests to get better reviews. However, their new guests seemed to be up to no good, which left the couple with no choice but to investigate.
"Something weird is going on up there," Cam insisted.
Fans of Haley (Sarah Hyland) and Andy (Adam DeVine) may be disappointed to know that the coming episode will not involve any of their storyline at all. This is definitely surprising given that there are many Haley and Andy shippers out there.
Haley's love life has played a big part in the Dunphy household. It may only be a matter of time before fans get to see Phil's assistant and Joe's manny.
