"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 recently saw April Kepner (Sarah Drew) and Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) finalizing their divorce.
In "Unbreak My Heart," April finally agreed with her husband to no longer fight for their marriage.
However, towards the end of the episode, April dropped a shocking reveal to her friend Arizona (Jessica Capshaw).
According to her, she's pregnant with her and Jackson's child.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Drew hinted on the possibility of the unborn baby helping April and Jackson get back together.
After all, the couple's marriage took a turn for the worst when they found out that the child in April's womb at that time suffered from a serious illness.
"I totally think this baby could bring them back together! Nobody wants somebody to stay with them just because they're having a baby; that just leads to resentment - April definitely doesn't want that. I could definitely see down the road, through different sets of circumstances, this baby being the thing that brings them back together for sure," she said.
Meanwhile, before April and Jackson reunite sometime in the future, the former will first have to deal with the divorce and her pregnancy through the help of her friends.
For one, Arizona will stay by April's side, and it's possible that they will decide to officially become roommates.
April will also seek help and support from Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson) since they've developed a close friendship when they worked together.
Additionally, Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) will be of great help to April, and this friendship could also help mend his broken relationship with Nathan.
In other news, "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 recently hinted on the possibility of Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) having feelings for her good friend Alex Karev (Justin Chambers).
However, Alex's then girlfriend Jo (Camilla Luddington) already gave him the signal to walk her down the aisle.
Now, Meredith would have to decide as to whether or not she will act on her feelings for Alex or simply be the good friend she's always been and support her.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 12 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
