Perennial powerhouse Manchester United (12-7-8, 44 points) hopes it can finally begin a winning run as it is scheduled to host newly-promoted club Watford FC (10-10-7, 37 points) at the Old Trafford on March 2nd, Wednesday as the 2015-2016 Premier League season continues.
United pulled off a stunning 3-2 upset over third-running squad Arsenal FC also at the Old Trafford on Sunday, as per SkySports.
Head coach Louis van Gaal pulled a trick off his sleeve as he placed 18-year-old forward Marcus Rashford into the starting lineup over veteran Wayne Rooney and another young blood Anthony Martial.
The move paid immediate dividends as Rashford scored the first two goals of the game, at the 29th and 32nd minutes, surprising the Gunners.
Former United striker Danny Welbeck scored a goal for Arsenal five minutes before the halftime break to put his team on the board.
The second half was a tough contest with both teams scoring one goal apiece, courtesy of United midfielder Ander Herrera at the 65th, whose goal was setup again by Rashford, and Gunners winger Mesut Özil at the 69th for the final score.
Arsenal tried to press for another equalizer late in the game, but all of their attacks were thwarted by the inspired Manchester defense.
The win gave United additional three points in the overall standings as they are now only three points behind fourth-placed squad Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Watford settled into a goalless draw with fellow newcomer AFC Bournemouth at their home field of Vicarage Road last Saturday, via BBC Sport.
Watford striker Odion Ighalo, who is a summer target of both United and Arsenal, had the closest chance for a goal, but his header went wide over the bar as the Cherries claimed a share of the point with the Hornets.
The Yellow Army is currently right in the middle of the league table, at the 10th spot, and should be on their way to avoid relegation back to the Championship next season.
The predicted result is a 3-1 victory for Manchester United.
