Struggling squad US Citta di Palermo (7-15-6, 27 points) is predicted to be in for another crushing defeat as they host the top contenders of the 2015-2016 Serie A season, SSC Napoli (18-3-7, 61 points), on March 13th, Sunday at their home field of Stadio Renzo Barbera.
Palermo is currently on a seven-game winless slide that dropped them to the 17th spot in the overall standings, only a point away from the bottom three relegation zone.
Rosanero's last match was a disappointing 1-3 loss to contending team Inter Milan last Sunday on the road at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro, via SkySports.
Inter's Serbian winger Adem Ljajic and Argentine captain Mauro Icardi lifted the hosts to a quick two-goal lead in the first half, scoring one goal each at the 11th and 23rd minutes respectively, before Walter Novellino's boys were able to respond with their own courtesy of a left-footed shot from center box by Italian striker Franco Vazquez.
Palermo tried to fight back in the second half, but I Nerazzurri's defense held on. Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic's header at the 54th minute all but sealed the match for La Beneamata as the visitors were not able to respond anymore for the rest of the game.
Meanwhile, Napoli was finally able to return to winning form as they routed AC Chievo, 3-1, last Saturday at their home stadium of Stadio San Paolo, as reported by ESPN.
Chievo actually scored the opening goal right at the second-minute mark of the match, via a right-footed shot from Italian midfielder Nicola Rigoni, but after that it was Partenopei who dominated the game until the finish.
Just four minutes after Rigoni's goal, the current Serie A top goalscorer, Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín, caught an assist by Faouzi Ghoulam and shot the ball through the goal to immediately level the count, completing his 26th goal of the season.
Romanian center back Vlad Chiriches gave the lead to Maurizio Sarri's side before halftime with a short range header at the 38th. Finally, Spanish winger Jose Callejon left-footed a shot at the 70th to seal the game for Gli Azzurri.
The win was Napoli's first in their last four games as they snapped a three-game winless skid and stayed within six points of defending champions Juventus FC in the overall standings.
The predicted result is a 4-1 victory for Napoli.
