"Fantastic Four" released an official trailer that showed a lot of first times for the new superheroes namely Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as The Thing and Michael B. Jordan as Human Torch, according to Rolling Stone.
In the teaser, Dr. Franklin Storm played by Reg E. Cartley narrated the storyline. Dr. Storm said that "new discoveries come with risk and sacrifices." There are several emotional moods and some blasts. Viewers can see Human Torch exploding into flames, The Thing transforming into rocks and Mister Fantastic lengthening his arms.
Prior to their transformation, the four superheroes can be seen leading seemingly normal lives. Teller appeared fascinated while he is inside a lab while Mara looked serious typing in a control center. Bell looked intense while holding a bat and Jordan seemed preoccupied while fixing a car.
"Fantastic Four" director Josh Trank said that he is excited that the moviegoers will finally watch the film in the coming days. Trank added that he is proud of the movie and despite the criticism he received, he cannot wait for the public to change their views about the film, Collider reported.
Writer and producer Simon Kinberg discussed that trailers may impress the viewers but it is no guarantee that they will like the film as well. There are also instances wherein viewers hated the trailer but they loved the movie. As for him, he chose to focus on making the film and not the expectations of the fans.
In an industry filled with superhero flicks, Trank said that "Fantastic Four" stands out due to its "science fiction" theme wherein the characters experience a unique transformation. The film will tackle about the "weird" changes that these characters experience and how they cope with it.
As for Kinberg, the producer thinks that the film is unique from other superhero movies since it focuses on family rather than protagonists versus antagonists' story. The powers are important but the highlight is the family theme.
Finally, fans can watch "Fantastic Four" as it hits theatres on Aug. 7.
