Jennifer Lopez slapped "American Idol XIV" contestant Samuel Prince while acting out in a telenovela scene.
The show is now having auditions in San Francisco and Puerto Rican singer Prince showed his acting and singing skills. Prince came in and bowed down to Lopez whom he referred to as his country's "queen." The contestant requested the judges to do a telenovela scene with him since he is an actor just like Lopez.
The four of them proceed to act and Lopez talked to her co-judges while Prince came in and started accusing her in Puerto Rican. Prince finished his dialogue and Lopez fake-slapped the contestant, which seemed realistic enough. They had a good laugh and Prince continued his audition by singing "As Long as You Love Me" by Justin Bieber.
In the middle of judging "American Idol," Lopez has recently released the sexy thriller film "The Boy Next Door." In the movie, Lopez played Claire Peterson who is stalked by his sociopath neighbor Noah played by Ryan Guzman after having sex for one night.
The film gained rave reviews and even celebrities appreciated it. Britney Spears who recently saw the film thanked Lopez in a tweet for being "strong and inspiring." Spears said that she can relate to the film since she feels unwanted as a mother sometimes but the movie gave her a new perspective, according to US Weekly.
Aside from praises, "The Boy Next Door" hit it well in the box office and earned $15 million on opening day. The ticket sales report is a big leap from its production budget of $4 million. The numbers came as a surprise since the film was not expected to hit it in the box office.
According to polls, most moviegoers shared that they watched the film because of Lopez. This means that the "Let's get Loud" singer can still lure fans not only to her music but to her movies as well.
Lopez will star in another thriller this year in the movie "Lila & Eve," which will be released on Jan. 30.
