Floyd Mayweather Jr. confronted Manny Pacquiao on the Miami Heat vs. Milwaukee Bucks game and told him to "stop lying," a source told Fight Hype.
An insider revealed that Mayweather attended the game since he learned that Pacquiao will be watching. The two boxing champs were seated on the front but in opposite sides of the court.
Mayweather went over to Pacquiao's side who is with his adviser Michael Koncz during half time.
There is no official report regarding what the fighters talked about but speculations say that Mayweather was blunt enough to tell Pacquiao to stop making false statements about signing a contract. The insider added that Mayweather said that he actually wants the fight to happen but he is keeping his privacy since he refused to "entertain bullshit."
Pacquiao and Koncz were reportedly silent throughout the entire conversation. Mayweather reportedly revealed to Pacquiao that he is being lied to and he even questioned him what kind of contract he signed. Reports say that Koncz reportedly laid the blame to promoter Bob Arum and Mayweather responded that lying is not showing professionalism so they should stay silent.
After their talk, Mayweather can be seen holding his mobile phone and he reportedly gave his personal number to Pacquiao so that they can contact each other regarding their upcoming fight. There is no final report if the fight has been set but the two boxers will communicate to each other to clarify false claims.
Pacquiao confirmed the news in an interview saying that Mayweather gave his number to him and said that they will contact each other. This is the first time the two boxing champs met each other in person, ESPN reported.
Koncz only revealed that the two had a "private discussion" but refused to comment on the details. The adviser added that it was a friendly talk and that is all he can share.
There is no official announcement about the long awaited Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight but there are speculations it will finally happen this spring.
