"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is expected to feature some shockers in the future. Actress Jerrika Hinton, who plays the role of Stephanie Edwards, recently talked about what's in store for her in the future and has hinted at a shocking twist in her storyline. Read on for the details.

In the recent past, Hinton's character Stephanie has been on the side lines. Over the period, however, her character has evolved and emerged has a talented and budding neurosurgeon. In the future, fans can expect her storyline to take an unexpected twist when she is faced with a new challenge wherein she is forced to make a hard decision.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Hinton what's next for her. Towards the end of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12, Stephanie has a tough situation to deal with.
"There's a plot point that happens close to the end of the season, where Stephanie makes a decision that I, as an actor, as a human being [would not make]," Hinton said. "I got on the phone with the writers a lot, and I was like, "You're really having her do this?"
In addition, she spoke about Stephanie's friendship with Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). "There are a few times coming up where we got the episode, and as we were filming, we were like, "Oh my god, this feels like a breakup. Are we breaking up?" Our relationship feels that intimate now," Hinton.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is set to air episode 16 titled "When it Hurts so Bad" this week. According to the official synopsis, the episode features massive relationships drama. The episode will revolve around Meredith and her decision to go on a date with Dr. Will. It is said that she will repent her decision.
Fans can also expect to see some progress in Amelia and Owen's storyline, when Amelia ponders over the relationship with Owen. Meanwhile, Maggie's relationship with DeLuca hits a snag when she feels she might not have a connection with him. And Catherine returns to Seattle and it is expected to shake things up between the recently divorced couple, Jackson and April.
