"The Flash" season 2 and "Supergirl" season 1 just had a crossover episode recently and it featured Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) first encounter.
The episode has led fans to wonder whether or not there is also an Earth-1 version of Kara's alter ego Supergirl.
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg clarified that it's impossible for Supergirl to have an Earth-1 doppelganger because this means that whoever looks like in that world is also an alien of some sort.
"We hadn't considered that. But any Kara that exists on Earth-1 would also have to have been an alien - it can't just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie," he said.
When asked if it's completely impossible for Kara to be potential super or power girl in Earth-1, Kreisberg said that they are not really closing their doors yet on the possibility.
According to Nerdist, Power Girl is the famous counterpart of Kara Zol-Er in the DC Comics. Unlike The CW's version of Supergirl, Power Girl is described to be much older and sassier. Her costume is also less conservative because it has been made more popular by her boob window.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode of "The Flash" will see Barry and Team Flash coming face-to-face with the villainous character Zoom.
Here's a look at the synopsis for episode 18 entitled, "Versus Zoom": "Barry wants to use a tachyon device to open the breaches in a plan to catch Zoom; Hunter Zolomon's past on Earth-2 is revealed."
In the teaser released by The CW for episode 18, it was confirmed that Zoom wasn't a bad person to begin with. In fact, he wanted to help as many people as he could when he was much younger.
However, Zoom grew up as a troubled young man so he ended up killing up. Just before he, too, was killed via electrocution, he got his powers and became a meta-human.
"His name is Hunter Zolomon," Caitlin told Barry.
"He's a convicted serial killer," Dr. Harrison Wells said.
"The Flash" season 2, episode 18 will air on The CW on April 19 at 8 p.m. ET.
