Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader) has done his best to protect Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone) through the three seasons of NBC's "The Blacklist." However, things will not be the same again for Red following what happened in episode 18.
In "The Blacklist" Season 3 episode 18, Red and Liz met a life-changing experience that not even the former could save the latter. What happened on Thursday April 14 would leave even fans shocked in one of the blood-curdling moments in the history of the show.
The episode started with Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold) and Liz escaping from their "shotgun" nuptial. Liz is convinced that her mother is behind the whole thing to take her away from Red. When Mr. Solomon (Edi Gathegi) learns that Liz has escaped the church, he has his team withdraw so that they can pursue Tom and Liz.
Just when Liz believes they are safe, Solomon and his team crash the side of their car. Tom attempts to drive away from them, but eventually crashes the car into a truck. The accident puts the two and their baby in danger to the extent that Liz has to undergo a C-section to save the baby.
Nick (Piter Marek) performs the C-section and saves the baby just in time. However, Liz is left in a critical condition, something that leaves many questions for the upcoming episode 19.
"The Blacklist" has all along been a series with many secrets, but it seems the Thursday night episode set up one of the biggest mysteries ever. In fact, NBC has declined to reveal either the title or the synopsis in advance for episode 19, which airs on April 21. This only means that something crazy is prone to happen in the upcoming episode.
Episode 19 of the show will definitely be a big one. If Liz truly exits the show, Red and Tom will both be at war. On the other hand, viewers should think of how the death of Liz could affect the FBI.
Liz's status as an FBI profiler changed over the year, but she remained a major part of the family. Therefore, there will be mass devastation because of everything that happened.
