Fans of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki better rush to the nearest newsstands. That’s because the actor who played Army Captain Yoo Si Jin in the 16-episode Korean Hallyu is gracing the cover of Vogue Korea magazine.
Soompi reported that Vogue, a high-end fashion magazine, had an instant photo session with Song Joong-ki while he was on his way to Hong Kong to attend a fashion show on Friday afternoon. He was spotted by Vogue staff at the Incheon Airport to watch the “Dior Homme 2016-2017 Winter Collection Live Show.”
The magazine’s photographers took shots of the handsome 30-year-old actor at the Incheon and Hong Kong Airports and uploaded it to Vogue’s Instagram account. They also captured the actor eating some dinner at his hotel and a video of the actor greeting his fans before he left for the fashion show.
Vogue definitely took advantage of the presence of the Hallyu actor, the most popular actor now in China and South Korea, at the show’s red carpet and with Kris Van Assche, the Belgian designer of his clothes for the night’s Dior Homme Collection.
His photos generated a few thousands “Likes” in Vogue’s Instagram posting and comments.
Song Joong-ki and his “Descendants of the Sun” partner, Song Hye-ki, have been credited with creating an army of Hallyu addicts not only in China and South Korea, where the show run from Feb. 24 through April 14, but to many countries in Asia such as Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia that the pair have become household names.
Upon seeing Song Joong-ki’s solo photos on Vogue Instagram, several fans of the couple requested the fashion magazine to feature the pair. The stolen shot of the actor talking on his mobile phone elicited a thumbs up from two Filipina fans who commented the shot was nice even if it was not posed
