This match is the second and last time these two teams will meet this season and a win for Bayern will mean that they will clinch their fourth straight Bundesliga title under head coach Pep Guardiola no matter the results of the remaining two matchdays afterward.

Der FCB is currently seven points ahead of second-running team Borussia Dortmund with only three games left in each club's season. Bayern is also on a six-game winning streak after their upset loss to Mainz and a draw with Dortmund.

The Bavarians blanked fourth-placed team Hertha Berlin, 2-0, on the road at the Olympiastadion last Saturday, as reported by BBC Sport.

Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal netted the opening goal of the contest at the 48th minute after the first half went scoreless for both squads. Brazilian winger Douglas Costa added another one at the 79th to complete the team's two-goal performance.

Meanwhile, Borussia Monchengladbach is currently settled at the fifth spot of the league table, only a point behind Hertha for the fourth and final Champions League qualifying berth for next season.

While Die Fohlen is locked to a Europa League group stage spot, the team will be aiming to snag a Champions League berth with three games left in their current campaign including this game against the defending champions.

The Borussians trashed TSG Hoffenheim last Sunday, 3-1, at their home ground of Stadion im Borussia-Park to successfully bounce back from a two-game losing slide, as per ESPN.

An own goal from Hoffenheim defender Jeremy Toljan started the scoring at the seventh minute of the match before Borussia midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud doubled the lead at the stroke of halftime.

Croatian forward Andrej Kramaric managed to pierce the net of Yann Sommer at the 54th to provide Die Kraichgauer a consolation goal, but midfielder Andre Hahn scored the third goal for manager André Schubert's side one minute after the hour mark to seal the win.

The predicted result is a 2-0 victory for Bayern Munich.
