Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress episode 3 will not be aired until Thursday, but newly released clips of the upcoming episode have already provided a sneak peek of what to expect next in the post-apocalyptic, steampunk series that has lived up to the hype so far.
Episode 3 Preview:
Following the events in episode 2, the survivors of Kabanes onslaught at Aragane station somehow find shelter, safe from the threat of another Kabane attack. Unfortunately, their problems are far from being resolved, as politics comes to play.
With the news that there's actually beings that exist between a human and kabane, people on board the Koutetsujou are starting to get worried that their lives might be in peril because of Kabaneri's presence. Their anxiety drives them to point of asking the leaders to expel Ikoma and possibly Mumei.
Ayami, whose responsibility of Aragane's station ruling clan (Yomogawa) now falls on her shoulder following the death of her father, couldn't stand to see her people threatened by these beings, so she decides to take matters into her own hands.
Meanwhile, Mumei witnesses the people's rude reaction after hearing that Kabaneris actually exist, though she doesn't show any disappointment at all.

After learning Kabaneri's nature from Mumei, Kurusu remains determined to kill what he thinks are threats to humanity. As the royal protection guard for Princess Ayami, it's hard to argue Kurusu's stance at this type of situation.
Pressured by her peers to resolve the conflict, Ayame decides to kill Ikoma, but fails to do so. The young steam smith tries again to prove his point that he's not a threat to humanity, reiterating his conviction of eliminating every single Kabane from the face of the world with his new-found power.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress episode 3 will be aired on Thursday at 24:55 time slot (12:55 a.m Friday, Japan time) on Fuji TV’s Noitamania late night programming block. Amazon Prime will stream the episode online at around 2:30 p.m US ET on Thursday.
