In terms of illegal downloads of "Game of Thrones" Season 6, episode 1, "The Red Woman," Australia topped the list with 12.5 percent of total illegal downloads of the episode in 12 hours, TorrentFreak reported.
"Game of Thrones" has been one of the most pirated shows along with "The Walking Dead" and this time it was no different. As soon as the first pirated copy of "Game of Thrones" Season 6, episode 1 was made available online after the broadcast, thousands of folks downloaded a copy.
The website also noted that downloaders are looking for a high-definition video (720p and 1080p) and not the standard ones (480p).
The pirates of "Game of Thrones" Season 6 are from all over the globe. The website revealed that the show is quite popular in Australia with 12.5 percent followed by India - 9.7 percent. Meanwhile, the United States with 8.5 percent and the United Kingdom with 6.9 percent are ranked third and fourth, respectively.
The other countries where fans downloaded "Game of Thrones" Season 6, episode 1 are Canada, the Philippines, Greece, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia and South Africa.
