New details for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" features the size of the new DLC "Blood and Wine", as well as improved visual graphics and Gwent Cards in the game.
CD Projekt RED revealed new details for "The Witcher 3's" upcoming new expansion "Blood and Wine" as they told German website GameStar about the new features within the game. Reddit username Pawel95 was able to translate the German text of the website as CD Projekt RED revealed that "Blood and Wine's" setting, Touissant will be as big as the isles of Skellige.
"Blood and Wine" DLC is said to have 20 hour gameplay in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" and judging by how big the landmass Touissant is in the visual images of the expansion, players will have plenty of time to explain the many terrains within the region.
CD Projekt RED added that the release of "Blood and Wine" DLC in "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" will happen before this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event on June. It is speculated that the release of "Blood and Wine" DLC may take place in June 7 and CD Projekt RED will announce new details for expansion next month possibly hinting a new game trailer or an official release date, VG 24/7 reported.
"Blood and Wine" will have improved visual graphics for the game as CD Projekt RED have showcased some upgrades to the foliage and grass in the game. They explained that they were looking to replace the grass on the entire game map with the new, improved "Hearts of Stone" grass, WCCFTech reported. There are also new Gwent Cards for "Blood and Wine" and they are based on Skellige.
Lastly, CD Projekt RED announced they are considering a "Game of the Year" edition of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" with the in-game patches and DLC expansions. However, the Polish video game developers will not have plans for a remasterd editions of "The Witcher", "The Witcher 2" or even a retail versions of all three games.
"Blood and Wine" DLC will feature Geralt in his journey to the region of Touissant as he uncovers a dark secret to the lands peaceful environment. New features in the expansion will include Fringello Vigo's cousin and ruler Anna Henriatta, a new restaurant within the country called "Beauclair" and a new centipede like monster called Scolopendromorphs.
"The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
