Update: The promo starts off with the voiceover revealing that his family was taken. Renard tells Nick that the only way to protect the ones you love is to let them go.

"Nick fears there's a chance he'll lose everything to Black Claw; Renard ramps up his campaign as the election draws near; Adalind faces a very difficult decision in order to protect her children; Hank's relationship with Zuri moves in an unexpected direction; and Wu struggles to get a grip on his new reality," reads the synopsis of "Grimm" Season 5, episode 20.
Meanwhile, in episode 19 of "Grimm" Season 5 titled "The Taming of Wu," Shaun Toub made his debut as Conrad Bonaparte. This character was responsible for the Wesen uprising and Portland is being used as the citadel to conquer the world.
In a sneak peek shared by TV Guide, Bonaparte wasted no time to reveal his evil schemes for the characters of the show.
Bonaparte was aware that Nick is important and he can be used as an asset. He asked Renard to recruit Nick as the new world order of Black Claw has a spot for a Grimm.
Meanwhile, in other "Grimm" news, NBC might have shortened Season 6 of the show, Deadline reported.
"Grimm" Season 6 is set to have 13 episodes and not 22. However, the website stated that the renewal is for minimum 13 instalments and it is likely that it will have more.
The show is set to take a break as "Grimm" Season 5, episode 20 will not air on May 6, Friday but on May 13.
