"Pokémon Sun and Moon" avid fans may have a reason to smile with the official confirmation from CoroCoro that the May issue may have something on the regions where the 7th generation game will occur.
Each Pokémon game in the series happens in its own region based on real world locations. Rumors have it that the first four regions based in Japan include Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Unova is the fifth region based on New York, whereas Kalos is based on France.
Although fans expected Game Freak and Nintendo re revisit the once-expected paradigm of multiple regions, they were disillusioned with every new release in the series. However, the upcoming "Pokémon Sun and Moon" has provided a ray of hope based on some cryptic words that accompanied the announcement trailer in February.
Within the trailer, after the previous six generations of the Pokémon series were highlighted, it was said, "all the years and now in 2016, it comes together in an al new Pokémon adventure." The statement could have many implications such as the development team taking everything they learned and creating a new game. The game developer should have taken such measures from the very beginning, and therefore, there is no need of announcing this.
On the contrary, the announcement could mean that Pokémon word will be linked and gamers will have a chance to revisit old regions. Avid fans had the same perspective and quickly embraced the idea of having the game taking place in different regions.
In fact, some fans referenced the model that everyone believed Game Freak had created in "Pokémon Gold and Silver," while another person via Gamefaqs referenced the Space Center incorporated to Mossdeep City in "Omega Ruby" and "Alpha Sapphire." The source suggested that space travel could be likelihood.
In an interview with Kotaku, series director Junichi Masuda was asked about the possibility of all regions being included in a future game.
Masuda said, "If we could come up with a way to really make that interesting, then it's something we'd implement - but for me, personally, as a theory, I think it would be more fun for us all to enjoy different locations and then share that experience together than all have the same experience in the same region."
Fans should be patient to see what the May CoroCoro issue will have on "Pokémon Sun and Moon." Here is footage for more information.
