Since the announcement of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" earlier this year, avid fans have been clamoring for any details from the game developer about the game with practically no information. However, the long wait is prone to change since some information is arriving on May 10.
It is already official that the Japanese magazine CoroCoro will carry some details about the upcoming games in mid-May, according to Nintendo Life. However, game developer Game Freak will get ahead with news of its own. Series director Junichi Masuda has promised via twitter to unveil some information on May 10 at 9 p.m. in Japan.
Meanwhile, the game developer has trademarked six names for "Pokémon Sun and Moon." Three names are for the starter Pokémon, while the remaining three are meant for the legendaries.
Besides the "Solgaleo" and "Lunaala," Game Freak has added "Marshadow" as a third name, according to Bidness ETC. It is believed that this is a third legendary since it is the only one left apart from the five that already suit the games' scenario. Starters in the upcoming titles will be called "Ashimari," "Nyabby," and "Mokuroah," while "Solgaleo" and "Lunaala" are to be names for the legendaries.
Every game in the "Pokémon" franchise has a minimum of three legendary Pokémon now. For instance, "Pokémon X and Y" had Xerneas, Yveltal, and Zygarde, and "Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire" had Kyogre, Groudon, and Rayquaza.
With the trademarked "Marshadow," the publication believes this Pokémon will have a big impact on the other two. For example, Rayquaza, which is the third region legendary, was in charge of calming both Groudon and Kyogre from causing chaos on the land and the seas. Therefore, Marshadow will have the same effect.
According to the publication, Marshadow appears like a dark or ghost sort of Pokémon. It aligns perfectly with the theme of "Pokémon Sun and Moon." Given that the two games are themed as day and night, an eclipse-like Pokémon would make sense.
