Jota and model Kim Jin Kyung have been revealed to be the new couple on MBC reality variety show "We Got Married." Kim's participation in the show has been reported in various media outlets days before it was confirmed who her husband would be. It turned out that she was paired with the idol singer who is a member of the boy group Madtown.
Moreover, in the preview showed in the latest episode of the show, viewers can clearly guess it is Jota. Although his face was not shown, everyone who knows the idol will easily see it is him who was putting on the flower garland on his virtual wife's head.
According to Allkpop, the couple will be replacing the youthful couple Red Velvet's Joy and BTOB's Yook Sung Jae. As shown in the teaser, Jota and Kim's first appearance will be on May 14.
Among the couples who was in the show, it seems this newest pair has the most unique first meeting. The sneak peek showed them seeing each other for the first time at the top of a hill that was arranged to look like a garden wedding venue.
Kim arrived first in the beautiful location and read the mission card. She was puzzled when she reads that her husband would drop from the sky. Much to the new wife's surprise, Jota literally dropped, as he arrived flying by paragliding.
At any rate, Jota debuted in 2014 as the main vocalist of the boy group Madtown. He did not become popular right away but got his break when he competed for a spot in KBS sports variety show "Cool Kiz on the Block."
He showed his amazing skills in judo sport and many people loved him for his dedication, fighting spirit and perseverance which made him the winner of almost every match that the Cool Kiz team competed in. Eventually, his popularity soared and he started to appear in many shows including "Law of the Jungle" and "Same Bed Different Dreams."
On the other hand, Jota's soon-to-be wife became a celerity after joining "Korea's Next Top Model." Kim was featured in various fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle and W Korea before debuting as an actress via the web-based drama "Yellow," Soompi reported
