After the success of his Thailand fan meet on Saturday, May 7, “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki will leave Bangkok on Tuesday, May 10, for China.
But before starting his eight-city tour on May 14 in Beijing, the 30-year-old actor will first tape his guesting in "Happy Camp," a variety show in China produced by Hunan Broadcasting System. As one of the most popular shows in China with tens of millions of viewers, guesting on the 20-year-old TV show would further cement Song Joong-ki’s status as the most popular actor in China.
According to Soong Joong kiTh, a Facebook fan page of the actor in Thailand, he will fly out of Bangkok at 9:50 p.m. aboard a Korean Airline plane. In late April, Blossom Entertainment, the talent agency managing the actor, confirmed that Song Joong-ki would guest in “Happy Camp,” reported Yonhap News Agency.
Song Joong-ki would tape the show from May 10 to 12. Prior to Blossom’s confirmation, the producers of the show initially denied that the Hallyu star would guest on their show. The show guests regional celebrities from Hong Kong, China, Japan, South Korea or Taiwan in which the foreign visitors are given the opportunity to show their talents.
Among the celebrities who have guested in “Happy Camp” are Super Junior, Andy Lau, director Zhong Wei, David Beckham, Jackie Chan, Coco Lee, EXO and Fan Bing Bing.
