The signs are ever increasing that Apple will soon let out the MacBook Pro 2016, its release date likely to coincide with the fast-approaching 2016 WWDC in June. One of these indicators is that the 2015 MacBook Pro is yet again the subject of epic deals that dangle to buyers savings of up to $290.
The MacBook Pro killer deal is courtesy of Adorama and Apple Insider. The two collaborated to make the laptop a bit more affordable with a bonus Apple SuperDrive. In the latest promo, the 15-inch MacBook Pro line is given a significant discount and bundled with the USB-connected external DVD drive, which Amazon sells for about $90.
If shoppers would pick the unit powered by a 2.5GHz processor and 16GB of RAM with 1TB of storage space, the price off to get is $201 along with free sales tax and free shipping. Add up the Apple SuperDrive that is a gift from the seller then the savings to keep is just about $290.
The same offer applies to the 27-inch iMac 5K, which sliced off the tag to a high of $133 plus the $90 Apple SuperDrive for those who prefer the desktop set up.
Yet the more interesting thought that came with the deal and all the other sales involving the existing Mac models is the soon to unbox MacBook Pro 2016. The excitement is even more fired up by the WWDC gathering that Apple has scheduled for June 13.
And what's not to like about the MacBook Pro refresh when rumors so far paint a huge leapfrog from the 2015 build. Intel Skylake is believed to bump off Broadwell and the performance and speed boosts are seen to be unprecedented. Apple is also reported to use the latest GPU and SSD technology on the new MacBook Pros, all the more ensuring of faster and more stable mobile computing.
Part of the deal too is a design makeover that will make the MacBook Pro 2016 as the ultraportable choice of laptop users. Analysts like Ming-chi Kuo appear convinced that the upcoming refresh will be slimmer and lighter than ever with the new 12-inch MacBook providing a general preview of the build upgrade.
But as a direct effect of the trimmed down MacBook Pro, analysts are convinced too that the MacBook Air will be no more as Apple will likely streamline its Mac notebook lineup.
As mentioned, the 2016 WWDC kicks off June 13 and the chance is high that only the new MacBook Pro in 13-inch and 15-inch screen sizes will be introduced but the actual release date of the devices will happen within the event.
