The beta testing for the mobile game "Pokemon Go" has finally come to the United States. The registration for the mobile game is currently ongoing for fans and interested players alike.
The beta testing for this Japanese mobile game has already been going on in other parts of the world for the past few months. This time around, the tests will now be coming to the US since it now ready for the American audience.
According to the official website of Niantic, players need to provide an email address, specifically from Gmail, and specify if they own a device with an iOS or Android mobile operating system. They can also share their names and level in a previous augmented reality game called "Ingress," if they have played that in the past.
There is only one hurdle to go through before players can play the mobile game, and that is getting lucky in getting in. Registering through their website does not mean players can play the game instantly. If they do get in, they were reminded not to share any content from the beta phase, so that those players that will play on the official launching date will still experience the element of surprise.
The mobile game company said in a statement that due to the multiple countries involved, they have to do a lot of tests before they officially launch the game to the public. They are asking for the help of the fans to play the beta version and give them feedback so that they can put updates, polish the game more, and make it ready for an official launch.
The mobile company also warned the testers that the mobile app is still in active development, so it has some limitations when it comes to features. They also thanked the beta testers for their hard work and for understanding the mobile game developers that they could only release limited features for the beta phase.
According to Gamespot, the progress of the game will not be transferred to the full game when it finally launches publicly. There is still no information currently on when the beta test will end or when the full game will be launched.
