"Dancing with the Stars" (DWTS) Season 22 (2016) finale week kicks off on May 23, Monday. It will be a two-night event wherein the top 3 couples/finalists-Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, and Ginger Zee and Valentine Chmerkovskiy-will compete in three rounds to claim the ultimate prize, the Mirror Ball trophy. In Semifinals, Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold emerged as highest scorers. However, the couple was eliminated at the end of the night. The second couple to get eliminated was Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess. As for Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy, Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd, and Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas were declared safe.
In "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) Season 22 finale, the three finalist couples will perform their final three dances. Based on their performances in Week 10, the winner of the 2016 will be declared.
According to the press release on ABC's official website, "Dancing With the Stars) (DWTS) Season 22 (2016) will feature "closest race ever with some of the best dancing celebrities have ever pulled off." The top 3 will get one last chance to win the judges' heart and America's votes in order to win the crown of the champions.
On Monday night, the finalists will return to the stage to perform two dances. The first round will see them do a redemption style dance. Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy will perform Jazz to the tune of "Adventure of a Lifetime" by Coldplay. Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd will do Quickstep routine to the tune of "S.O.B." by Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats. And Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas will perform Salsa on "Fireball" by Pitbull.
In the second round, the couples will perform freestyle routines. Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy will return to the stage to perform a routine on "Orange Coloured Sky" by Nat King Cole. Nyle and Peta will perform on the music of "The Sound of Silence." As for Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas, they will dance to the tune of "Over the Rainbow" by BC Jean.
On Tuesday, "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS) Season 22 (2016) will feature two-hour grand finale. This episode will feature couples' final dance, guest and celebrity performances, and declaration of the winner.
According to the spoilers, the three finalist will participate in the 24-Hour Fusion Challenge wherein the couples will perform a new routine. It is said that each couple will fuse two contrasting dance styles and they will only get 24 hours to prepare for their final dance. Meanwhile, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Toniolli and Len Goodman will continue to be the part of the show as judges and will reward points to the contestants. It will be combined with the public votes from May 16 and May 23 for the final result.
In addition, the Season 22 finale will be a gala night with several celebrity performances. Pitbull, Aloe Blacc, Fifth Harmony, and Fleur East will perform their hit singles. In the meantime, Season 22 contestants will return for special performance. Fans will see a reunion of the 12 contestants of this season.
