“The 100” Season 4 episode 1 is set to air on January 2017, if the latest rumors are to be believed. While The CW confirmed the hit Eliza Taylor series was renewed for another season, the show is not part of the network’s recently released fall schedule, alongside Supergirl Season 2, The Flash Season 3, Arrow Season 5, and The Vampire Diaries Season 8.
According to Heavy, "The 100" Season 4 will most likely air sometime in July, following the trend for Season 3, much like with other mid-season series. Perhaps one of the reasons why The CW decided to push the premiere to a later date is because fans preferred to watch episodes consecutively rather than wait for a few weeks while the show is on break.
The publication also reported that "The 100" Season 4 will also most likely have the same number of episodes as its early seasons. Season 1 had 13 episodes, while Season 2 and 3 had 16 episodes each.
Meanwhile, in an interview with IGN, Eliza Taylor admitted that she was hoping that her character, Clarke Griffin will finally get the chance to relax and have fun when "The 100" Season 4 returns. She hoped that series creator Jason Rothenberg will eventually hear her out and cut Clarke some slack.
"This is Season 4: Clarke finds a tropical island and all these really chill dudes and lies on the beach, drinking margaritas and says 'I'm done. I need to relax,'" Taylor joked.
Taylor shared that they all felt absolutely overwhelmed and happy when "The 100" received an early renewal for Season 4. She explained that her surprise was not because she did not feel that the series deserved it but because it definitely took some time before people started to get attached to the show. She shared that she is just overjoyed with all the support they have been receiving from fans.
When asked what viewers can expect in the coming episodes of "The 100" Season 4, Taylor admitted that she had "no idea" what the future holds. She added that they she was just grateful to be able to continue telling Clarke's story.
"There are so many shows like this that don't get the opportunity to continue their story and I'm so excited," she said.
