Apple MacBook Pro 2016 release is delayed to the fourth quarter of 2016. It is expected to feature a customizable OLED touchscreen on the device.
Apple Pay could come to the much-anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 because the company is thinking of incorporating a customizable OLED touchscreen on the device. The small touchscreen could act as a Touch ID sensor, which can take the required biometric information of the users for making the financial transactions on Apple Pay, according to 9to5 Mac.
The OLED touchscreen may also be used for numerous shortcuts, which may change depending on the app being used. This level of customization will enhance the usability and the functionality of the laptop to a great extent and may also give rise to a new industry of biometric-dependancy apps.
Apple MacBook Pro 2016 release was expected at the WorldWide Conference, which is taking place in California from June 13-17. However, now the release is postponed to the year-end. The delay may be due to the unavailability of the Intel Skylake chips, which are expected to feature in the laptop.
The upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 is also speculated to be the thinnest and the lightest laptop from Apple, according to Computer World. The inclusion of the various ports in the laptop makes the device thick, so the company is planning to sacrifice them.
Hence, MacBook Pro 2016 is going to feature only USB Type-C and the Thunderbolt 3 ports. Unlike the recently released Apple MacBook 2016 the upcoming laptop may feature the USB Type-C port on both sides of the device for ease of use.
Regarding other MacBook Pro 2016 specs, it is expected to feature the latest Intel Skylake processors and the 400-series AMD Graphics chips. The laptop will also be redesigned with the new injection molded hinges for a more thinner look.
Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will also have butterfly mechanism keys and customizable keypad options. Earlier, it was rumored to come without any physical keys and instead feature a keyboard with force-touch keys.
MacBook Pro 2016 will come in 8GB and 16 GB RAM options. The storage will come in 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB flash storage options.
