Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress - After barely escaping the Black Smoke at Yashiro Station, the Koutetsojou somehow found a haven where they can tend their wounds and fill their empty stomachs. At Shizu station, they finally enjoyed some peace but never salvation they are seeking for. With the train running out of foods supply, Lady Ayame will have to convince the Lords of that station to give some assistance before they resume their journey to Kongokaku.

With Mumei trapped under the rubble of an underground tunnel in Yashiro Station, Ikoma had to fend off a horde of Kabenes all by himself. Fortunately for the Kabaneri pair, Kurusu, Takumi and other Bushi guards arrived to save them. Along the way, they retrieved cannon which proved to be of big use in their escape plan out of that station.
Although it's the first time she ever saw a Black Smoke of Kabane, Mumei revealed that it is a colony of Kabane and someone at the center was controlling that beast. She also added that it couldn't die unless someone kill the Kabane at its heart.
So while the Black Smoke was feeding on the body of dead Kabanes at the tunnel, the crew of the Iron Fortress initiated their escape plan. After finally getting rid of the mangled watch tower that had been blocking their path from the start, the Koutetsojou began to make their way for the exit but not before the Black Smoke noticed its prays were getting away.
With the he Black Smoke viciously trailing them, the engine smith trio of Takumi, Suzuki and Sukari decided to make a good use of the cannon. The plan was to hit the Black Smoke at the center, giving Mumei the opening to kill the controlling Kabane. After two attempts and an epic close quarter battle atop the train featuring Ikoma and Kurusu, the crew pulled it off with Mumei killing the Kabane, who happens to be a former Kabaneri and member of the organization she currently belongs.
What to expect in Episode 7:
-The bond that ties Mumei and Ikoma will continue to develop in this episode. Mumie apparently has deep fear of turning into a Kabane before accomplishing the mission given to him by her 'brother.' Ikona, on the other hand, had a different view of Mumei, not as a mercenary but someone important to him.
-Lady Ayame will seek help from the Lords of Shiro station, but find out that supplies are also valuable to them. With Kongokaku is still several stations away, Ayame understands that running out of food in the middle of their journey is as deadly as being attacked by Kabanes.
