"Suits" took a big turn in its Season 5 wrapper, with Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) entering prison after pleading guilty to charges of fraud. With "Suits" Season 6 coming up, there are rumblings that this may be the final lap for the hit legal drama.

Speaking to a fan on Twitter, "Suits" creator Aaron Korsh gave an indefinite response on whether Season 6 will be the show's last outing.

"Highly doubtful it is the last season but nothing official currently," Korsh posted on Twitter.

In a previous interview with TV Line, Korsh revealed that he renewed his contract with Universal Cable Productions for two more years, making a Season 7 production highly probable.

"I just renewed [my deal with Universal Cable Productions] for two years, so I'm assuming we're likely to have a Season 7, and it's certainly possible we'll have a Season 8. I would say we're not in the upswing of the show's life cycle," Korsh said.

The whole premise of the show is founded on Mike's big secret that, although he appears to be a really good lawyer on the outside, he is actually a big fraud practicing the legal profession without a license and without having graduated from law school. This is the one thing Mike, Harvey and the selected people at Pearson Specter Litt are trying too hard to hide. Now that the secret's out, there's no way Mike will ever get to practice law again. If he ever gets that rare second chance, it will likely come with a hefty price.

Given that a huge weight has been lifted from everyone's shoulders, what can viewers expect from "Suits" Season 6 and beyond? One thing's for sure: there's going to be a "big" change in the upcoming season.

The show will explore "uncharted territory" in its sixth season, with new characters being introduced and new dilemmas setting in.

"It is our plan currently to have Mike be in prison next season. We don't know at the moment when he's going to get out," Korsh told TV Guide. "We haven't gotten there yet. We're not rushing to get him out and we're not jumping ahead in time to when he gets out," he added.

But with Mike's trial being over, things will be looking up for the firm and "most of the drama is gone."

"Suits" Season 6 will premiere on July 13, 2016 on USA Network.
