"Skylanders Imaginators" will let players create their own Skylanders character for them to use when they play the game. Activision has announced that it will be launched in October.
According to Eurogamer, the new video game will let players have the ability to build their own game characters. They can swap different parts of its body like the legs, arms, heads, bodies, weapons, and even powers to create their own personal hero. Imaginators are the characters they can customize and they can actually be saved inside the new Creation Crystal toys, but they are expensive to purchase.
According to Forbes, the game publisher has also announced that the video game will be launched on Oct. 16 in the United States, and Oct. 14 in Europe. The starter pack will include two Senseis, one Creation Crystal, Portal of Power, and the video game, and the suggested retail price for the starter pack will be $74.99. Fans can purchase individual Sensei toys for $14.99, individual Creation Crystals for $9.99, and there will be a Dark Edition Starter Pack, which costs $99.99.
The Sensei toys are the trainers for the players' customized characters that they have just created. These toys can train the characters, and they can also unlock new weapons, new areas, and secret techniques to defeat their enemies. These toys also have their own powers to unlock and there are 31 toys to collect.
The upcoming game will also have 11 playable villain characters, which is more than its predecessor had. Some popular star villains such as Golden Queen will be in both toy and on-screen playable form.
The upcoming game will also support local coop multiplayer gameplay as one of its game modes. Players will be able to put two Creation Crystals or toys, or just a combination of the two on the Portal of Power so that they can play the game. There might be another mode that will come back to this new iteration, which is the kart racing.
The video game will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Wii U. After last year's launch on the mobile gaming sector, the game company has decided to focus on consoles this time.
