Nintendo is set to unveil the release dates of their new Pokémon Sun and Moon, and the smartphone augmented reality game Pokémon GO at their upcoming E3 2016 conference.
In addition to the new Pokémon titles, the Japanese video game company is also expected to conduct a long presentation about their new Legend of Zelda video game title which will be available for the rumored Nintendo NX console. It would also be the only game with a playable demo at the said event.
Pokémon Go has already made its way to several continents in the form of beta field tests. Several lucky players were chosen recently in North America to test the game out, reporting for any bugs or glitches that they find.
The new AR game is being developed by Niantic, who is also the one who developed the popular AR game Ingress on smartphones. They would also share a similar mechanic as players will have to literally walk around their neighborhood to find and catch the pocket monsters.
Nintendo is expected to finally set a solid release date for Pokémon GO at their E3 2016 conference on June 14 and 15, Comicbook has learned. It will be part of their "Nintendo Treehouse" presentations.
Players will be able to battle other trainers that are nearby there are in game. They can also compete for the Gym leader title on popular landmarks.
One uncertain thing about Pokémon GO is the availability of the monsters based on the geo locations. A Charizard could only appear on a certain location and it could be an issue of fairness within the game's engine.
Pokémon GO will be joining the Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest 7 and Pokémon Sun & Moon during the presentations, TheBitBag reported. A demo of the game is less than likely considering that there are already several leaked game footages across YouTube.
Nintendo could finally set the release date for Pokémon GO to be some time in Summer 2016 at the earliest. Of course, the other Pokémon Sun and Moon games could finally have a release date as well. Maybe Nintendo could also announce an integration among the new Pokémon games too.
