The things that happen in the WWE backstage area and locker room are one of the most intriguing parts of the wrestling business for many fans who watches it. The latest rumors revealed the most liked superstar from the recent signings is Luke Gallows, who is in his second stint in the WWE.
According to Daily Wrestling News, Gallows is one of the most popular superstars in the locker room today. He regularly lightens the mood of many people backstage with his humor but not to the point that he's not taking his job seriously.
The 32-year-old superstar is really not a "newcomer" since he is in his second tenure with the WWE. He was re-signed earlier this year along with his tag team partner from New Japan Pro Wrestling, Karl Anderson. He previously worked for the biggest wrestling company in the world from 2005 to 2010.
Gallows started his career as Festus, a mentally challenged character that gets really angry and physical when a bell rings. It was one of the most awkward gimmicks of all-time but he had a better run as part of the Straight Edge Society with CM Punk.
However, he was released from his contract in 2010 as part of the WWE's budget cuts for that year. He wrestled for TNA and NJPW wherein he established himself as one of the best tag team wrestlers along with Anderson.
The mood in the WWE for the past month has been very bad since the company made released a handful of talents. Many wrestlers still in fear for their job security but Gallows' demeanor make the locker room livelier.
According to Wrestling Inc, there will more WWE releases in the coming weeks but it may not be a good idea since the brand extension needs a lot of superstars. Nonetheless, the mood has been better since talents such as Damien Sandow, King Barrett, Hornswoggle, Alex Riley, El Torito, Zeb Colter, Santino Marella and Cameron.
Adam Rose, Cody Rhodes and Eden were also let go several weeks after with Ryback possibly leaving next. The wrestling business is a very hard industry to be in as these superstars do not have an offseason.
They work all year round, going from city-to-city, traveling and putting their bodies on the line just for the sake of entertainment. The WWE needs more people like Gallows, who makes the locker room a very enjoyable place for wrestlers.
