"Married At First Sight" Season 4 is officially happening. In spite of the disappointing results for Season 2 and 3, with all couples ending up in a divorce, FYI is still bringing the social experiment series back.
According to People, FYI has already renewed "Married At First Sight" for Season 4 with episode 1 set to premiere on July 26 at 9pm. This time, the reality series will take place in Miami. Following the departure of the three experts, spiritual advisor Greg Epstein, sexologist Dr. Logan Levkoff, and clinical psychologist Joseph Cilona, a new set of specialists will come on board to help the chosen couples.
Dr. Pepper Schwartz will be joined by two newcomers: marriage counselor Pastor Calvin Roberson and communication and relationship expert Rachel DeAlto.
"Marriage At First Sight" Season 1 had been the most successful season so far, as couples Jamie Otis and Dough Hehner, as well as Cortney Hendrix and Jason Corrien, both they decided to stay married after the social experiment ended. Unfortunately, all three couples from Season 2 and Season 3 ended in divorce.
In her book, "Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong After Meeting Mr. Right," Otis dished some tips for a successful marriage. The "Married At First Sight" alum talked about the importance of sex, forgiveness, and getting along with your in-laws.
According to New York Post, physical intimacy is very important in a marriage. She shared that while most men would have sex every single days, women were satisfied wit just two or three times a week. Otis encouraged wives to be more sensitive of their partner's needs, even on days when they do not feel quite up to it.
"Try to just lay together naked and see where it goes. Nine times out of 10 it's going to go somewhere and you'll enjoy it, too," she said.
Just like other couples, Otis shared that she and Hehner would often have disagreements. She explained that doing sessions with the "Married at First Sight" resident psychologist helped her forgive Hehner, adding that everyone deserves as second chance.
Another challenge she faced was getting along with Hehner's parents, especially his mom Bonnie. She shared that she learned that it was important to be flexible and show them that you are willing to adapt.
"I sat there and played the role that I was expected to. When you soften your edges, you realize it's a nice thing to do," she said.
