"Girl Meets World" season 3 will see Sabrina Carpenter's character Maya going through some kind of identity crisis.
However, Disney Channel is making it clear that it doesn't have anything to do with the teenage character's sexual preference.
Instead, according to Cartermatt, "Girl Meets Triangle" will be centered on Maya going through an identity crisis after realizing that being friends with Riley (Rowan Blanchard) could be silencing her voice.
The publication also noted that it is a good idea for Disney Channel to showcase Maya's artistic talents on the show the same way that they did last season. It is believed that Maya's talents will continue to be shown in "Girl Meets World" even though the series is ultimately about Riley.
Meanwhile, the writers of "Girl Meets World" season 3 have been updating loyal viewers of the show via their official Twitter page.
Just recently, they confirmed that the first two episodes of "Girl Meets World" season 3 did very well and earned them a total of 1.9 million viewers.
"Girl Meets World" season 3, episode 5 will air on Disney Channel on June 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET.
