Actor and singer Jerome Flynn, who plays Bronn, recently returned to the "Game of Thrones" in “The Broken Man” as he accompanied Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) to the siege of Riverrun. The actor, who played said role since Season 1 talked about his loyalty to Jamie and why the Lannister brothers like him.
According to Flynn, he thinks that Bronn stays with Jamie not because he wants to serve him or he loves him but because he is has the feeling that he could find himself in a battle and he could actually switch if needed while watching his own back.
Although Jamie freed him from a cushy marriage, he actually doesn't feel that loyal to Jamie and isn't even interested in any of Jamie's promises about how the Lannisters give back to those they are indebted to. Hence, it appears that if violence commenced, Jamie might not be able to count on support from Bronn. But that doesn't change the fact that the Lannister brothers apparently like him.
"I think they both quite like him, you know? He’s funny and manages to bring some lightness to the situation and doesn’t take things too seriously. And he is not a fool. They have respect for him because he doesn’t take shit from them," Flynn said according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Flynn was also asked about what would be the stand of Bronn when Jamie meets Tyrion. To recall, Jamie said that he would kill Tyrion if he meets him. According to Flynn, he is not sure about what will happen but thinks that it would be nice if Bronn will be an intermediary for the brothers.
He added that it would be interesting if Bronn will remain as the right hand of Jamie but he might also switch because his more in his heart with Tyrion. He also said that he is not sure if the brothers will get the chance to talk and get back together. `
Flynn also teased that Bronn is excited to meet Pod since he had happy memories with him and he is fond of Pod and of Tyrion as well. Hence, it is apparent that Bronn would like to connect with the two once again, which means that fans may look forward to a happy reunion.
Aside from that, Flynn also dropped a spoilers about how the siege at Riverrun might be resolved saying that Jamie and Bronny are willing to go far and that they are really serious but he added that he “doesn’t think they’ll need to,” Winter Is Coming reported.
