Jordan Brand is about to make noise again this weekend, as they are set to release a new colorway of the Air Jordan 10 Retro. The soon-to-be-released colorway pays tribute to a city related to Michael Jordan.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro will come out in "Charlotte" edition, Nike revealed. As the name itself suggest, this edition pays homage to city of Charlotte, where Jordan owns an NBA team -- the Hornets.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro "Charlotte" features a white-based upper part combined with blue and purple hints on the tongue and laces area. The theme is familiar to basketball fans, as it is Charlotte Hornets' team color in the NBA.
Aside from the theme, Jordan Brand placed a "Cha" stitching near the lining. The designers also placed purple Jumpman logo on the heel area and a blue one on the black insole.
This edition was finished off with a white midsole, while the blue and purple hints appear again on the outsole. Underneath the sole is a white Jumpman logo, including a list of some of Jordan's achievement in the NBA -- from becoming the Rookie of the Year in 1985 up to his first retirement in 1994.
According to the product page, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 10 back in 1995 in what is dubbed as the "City Series" pack, which features colorways related to certain cities like New York, Sacramento and Seattle. After 21 years, the company revived the "City Pack" with this Hornets-affiliated colorway.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro "Charlotte" edition, which is officially listed as the White/Blue Lagoon/Black/Concord colorway of the shoe, will be available on Saturday. Air Jordan fans who want to get a pair of the shoe can get one for $190 in SNKRS. Kid's sizing will be sold for $140 each on Nike.com.
The Air Jordan 10 Retro will also come out in colorways that pay tribute to London, England and Shanghai, China. The "London" edition is listed as the Pure Platinum/Metallic Gold-Dark Grey colorway, while the "Shanghai" version is the Black/Gamma Blue-Fierce-Purple colorway. Both editions will also be sold for $190 each, Solecollector revealed.
