Both Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to be released later this year. Let's have a look at the features of the two devices.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is rumored to have a 5.8-inch super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus is expected to have a 5.5-inch display that supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and it is protected by an ion-strengthened glass.
There are speculations that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be released in internal storage variants of 256GB, 128GB, 64GB and 32GB that users can expand to 256GB using a microSD card slot.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will be released in internal storage variants of 256GB, 128GB and 32GB. However, it will not have a microSD card slot.
Both Samsung Galaxy Note 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are expected to have non-removable Li-Po batteries.
Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will feature a secondary camera of 5 MP and a 12MP primary camera that features OIS and phase detection autofocus.
The iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, is rumored to have a secondary camera of 5 megapixels and a primary camera of 12 megapixels that will feature touch focus and dual-LED flash.
Several reports indicate that the upcoming Note 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor and will run on Android 6.0.1 M. Also, it will have 6GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the iPhone 7 Plus will run on iOS 10 and will be powered by 2GB of RAM and an Apple A10 processor.
According to a report from 9to5Google, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 with a curved edge display will be released on August 2, 2016.
Meanwhile, the electronics company Samsung has begun rolling out the newest Android security update to its Galaxy Note 5. The Android security update, which weighs in at 270MB, is rolling out to Samsung Galaxy Note 5 units (unlocked) in Australia.
It brings along newest security fixes from Samsung as well as Google, including a fix for a bug that, when exploited, allows anybody to bypass the device's lock screen using a USB cable, SamMobile reported.
