Avid fans of the NBC's "Blindspot" series will know the real identity of Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) in the upcoming second installment. Reportedly, Doe will play a pivotal role in Mayfair murder case in addition to meeting a person from her past.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Martin Gero unveiled what fans should expect from Doe's actual identity in the upcoming "Blindspot" Season 2. According to Gero, Doe's real name will be known in Season 2 episode 1, adding that fans will discover more about the character and her story arc.
In addition, Doe will help solve the case of Mayfair's death. The showrunner said during the interview that they all were focused on bringing down the people that were responsible for Mayfair's death.
Doe has worked hard to hide the truth from Weller, something that has helped her earn Oscar's trust. Now that Oscar is dead and she is accountable for Mayfair's death, nothing will stop her from letting the truth prevail in the first few episodes of "Blindspot" Season 2.
Meanwhile, Doe will cross paths with Cade, a person from her past, again. In the process of searching for Shepherd in Season 2, Doe will also encounter Cade. Seemingly, Cade who offered a strong backstory about Doe in Season 1 is actually alive.
When "Blindspot" wrapped up last season, it was discovered that Shepherd was the person behind the plan to destroy the world. Therefore, Doe's agenda in Season 2 will be to stop Shepherd's evil plans. It is still unclear who will play the character, but Shepherd is supposed someone new on the crew.
While the second installment is yet to resume filming with the actors, writers are back at work. Doe's life will be threatened in Season 2 as she will be shot by Cade, according to Spoiler TV.
