The latest details for "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 will feature new details for the show's new villains, premiere date and a new hero joining the team.
A new DC character has been added to the cast of "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as "Minority Report" TV series actor Nick Zano will be joining Rip Hunter's (Arthur Darvill) team a Citizen Steel. The first hints of the character was previously reported describing him as a male character in his late-20's and mid-30s who grew up in the shadow of his World War 2 hero grandfather and has a "Han Solo" style facade to hide his insecurities, until he developed super powers which he can now use to live up t his family's legacy, Deadline reported.
In the comics Nate is the grandson of Henry Heywood/Commader Steel during World War 2. He is also a member of the Justice Society of America, which will be the main focus of season 2 of "Legends of Tomorrow" as JSA member Rex Tyler/Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) warned Rip's team to not go into the Waverider as it will mean their doom.
Executive producer Marc Guggenheim stated in an interview that the season finale of the show planted some very significant flags within the show in terms of new concepts for season 2, which hints of a Justice Society of America being present in the small screen.
Other characters being added to "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 includes Jay Garrick/The Flash (John Wesley Shipp) and a old version of Vixen, while heroes like Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech), Connor Hawke (Joseph David-Jones) and John Constantine (Matt Ryan) are being considered for the show.
In other news, Guggenheim revealed new details for the new villain in "Legends of Tomorrow" season 2 as he told Entertainment Weekly that unike the previous season the character will be a "slow reveal" to the audience adding a little mystery into it.
The first season main villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) was first introduced to the secon "Arrow" and "The Flash" crossover along with Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). Now fans will have to guest which "big bad" will it be as each episode of season 2 will slowly, but surely unveil main adversary that the team will face in the show.
Guggenheim stated before the new villain will be a bigger threat as fighting Savage in season one is just a walk in the park compared to him/her.
CW Network announced that season 2 premiere of "Legends of Tomorrow" is scheduled on Oct. 13.
