"The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 11 which premiered on June 20, Monday, on Bravo at 9 p.m. ET, nearly aired without Vicki Gunvalson. Following the rough times she had in filming season 10, Gunvalson doubted if she ever could join the show again.
The OG of the OC felt betrayed and alienated by her co-stars in reaction to the fake cancer claims of her ex Brooks Ayers, she admitted to E! News. She did not think of returning.
"I didn't think I had the strength," Gunvalson told the news site. "But you know what, my story wasn't finished. I'm not gonna end as a victim."
Running away from the show was not ideal, and it would even allow the rest of the ladies to talk about Gunvalson and Brooks, leaving her no chance to defend herself. She did not want her co-stars have the last say in what she believed. She did return to "The Real Housewives of Orange County" season 11 with frenemis Heather Dubrow, Meghan King Edmond, Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge.
Gunvalson then met new cast Kelly Dodd, who was initially introduced as Meghan King Edmonds' friend but bonded quickly with her. Hence, the new season may start awkward but having a new cast member is its best part. Speaking of her new friend, Gunvalson said Dodd brings a lot of opinions and she loves her, as they have a great relationship.
Gunvalson likewise shared that having her BFF Judge turning on her last season was not a surprise as she had seen the latter doing it to the cast members. Judge allegedly wants to be portrayed as the "lasher-outer or a stirrer," or whatever people call it.
Judge allegedly had done it to cast members Alexis Bellino, Gretchen Rossi and Jeana Keough. Hence, there is no way she will try it with the OG of the OC.
When it comes to her love life, Gunvalson has moved on and found a new beau in the person of Steve Lodge. Her daughter, Briana Wolfsmith-Culberson, who sparred with Brooks approves Lodge, the OG of OC told US Weekly.
