4Minute officially disbanded on June 13 and the members took some time to say their goodbyes to fans who supported them for seven years. Four of the five members of the girl group have decided to leave Cube Entertainment and they posted thank you and farewell messages online.
Nam Jihyun and Heo Gayoon updated their Instagram pages with a photo of their handwritten letters for the fans. On the other hand, Kwon Sohyun seems to show a hint of regret for their group's split when she apologized to fans through a letter she posted on her Instagram.
"Every year, I give thanks on this day and this year, I feel very apologetic. I am so thankful and sorry to 4NIA who have always loved, cheered and been by our side for the past 7 years. Thank you, 4NIA," Kwon wrote.
Of the four members who left Cube Entertainment last week, Jeon Jiyoon was the last to relay her message for their fandom called 4NIA. "4NIA, I miss you. It's already been seven years that I've been a part of 4Minute, I was really happy thanks to all of you, Soompi quoted Jeon as saying.
The 25-year-old also promised to repay everyone by working hard and become a better artist in whatever field she will take on next. She added that she will never forget all the support she got from 4NIA and hopes that they will continue to be behind her in this new journey.
4Minute debuted in 2009 with the release of the hit single "Hot Issue." When the group split last week, only Kim Hyuna renewed her contract with Cube. The other four members are likely to signed a deal with different agencies, to pursue new career paths.
Meanwhile, Kim was said to have turned down a good role in the thriller film "The Wailing." A reporter from MBC's "Section TV" revealed that the challenging role which went to Chun Woo Hee was supposed to go to the "Bubble Pop" singer, but she rejected the offer, Osen has learned.
It was added that the movie's director, Na Hong Jin, personally offered the role to Kim but she did not accept because she felt a lot of pressure due to lack of acting experience. For the time being, Kim will focus on her solo singing career and it is not clear whether she will also venture into acting soon.
