"Banner Saga 2" has just gotten a new mode in the game, which is the Survival Mode, and Stoic has made it available for interested gamers. The game developers have also released build 2.30.120 that fixed different issues of the game.
Players will have to assemble a combat team in Survival Mode in order to survive the different challenges it will offer. This new free content update will let them play against 40 back-to-back levels filled with different enemies. When their team finishes their opponent's team, the combat will continue again with another team, and the permanent death mechanic is also present, according to VG247.
The update also fixed different bugs that the game has been experiencing lately, and one of them is fixing the issue of preventing the Renown banners in battle from displaying correctly, according to the official website of Steam. It also fixed different cosmetic bugs like fixing the seam in baldrungr's godstone background sprites, corrected the reversed the red or green coloration on item descriptions, and it also added the consequences section, which displays injuries.
For those who will try out the Survival mode, each of the wins the players will gain will get them the Renown currency, which they can use for unlocking other Heroes that the players might have lost during the previous battles. Players will not be worried with item supplies now since they can get them in combat when enemies drop them when they die, or they can purchase some of them with Renown currency. These items can improve the battle capabilities of their heroes in their teams.
To make the players not linger while playing the game and to give it a bit of a challenge, a 30-second timer has been added to keep the game moving. Players also get the leaderboards so that they can track their rankings. Also to make it more challenging, all the difficulty levels are included in the mode, which means those who want to try the Hard Core Challenge can try it out in this mode.
The owners of the game can download the new mode now for free on different platforms like Steam, GOG, Humble Store, EA's Origin, and many more other online stores. The game will also be available for consoles on July 26, and it will be available for mobile devices in the summer.
