Bethesda is launching the new Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Workshop DLC and the Fallout Shelter game for the PC this week after several months of being a popular app for both the Android and iOS platform.
Fallout Shelter allowed mobile users to simulate running their own Vault complete with settlers that they can send on adventures, match with other settlers to repopulate or to extend their Vault operations even further down underground. The game will now be available for users in the PC who want to control their own Vault on a larger screen.
Meanwhile, Fallout 4 Vault-Tec Workshop DLC is expected to be released this July. There is no solid release date yet but the leaked Steam screenshot from the mobile app of the platform shows that it could be around the last week of the month.
The Fallout 4 Vault-Tech Workshop is expected to be revealed through a Twitch stream on Tuesday, Gamenguide has learned. Bethesda could also officially unveil the release date by then.
Fallout Shelter is also expected to be launched this week as a countdown on the official Twitter account shows there are only four days left which could put the release date somewhere between July 15 or July 16. There is no news on whether it will be integrated somehow with the original Fallout 4 game but the lack of connection between the app and the game itself on the PC and consoles suggest that there aren't really any bonuses.
Bethesda has yet to announce whether Fallout Shelter will be a free to play experience with micro transactions for the PC or if it will be a paid game like Fallout 4, Eurogamer reported. Fans will have to wait for the official reveal from Bethesda in a few days.
Fallout 4 will also be having its last DLC, Nuka World, on August. The leaked Steam date reveals it to be also on the last week of the month the same as Vault-Tec Workshop.
With the last Fallout 4 DLC on the way, the Fallout Shelter game for PC could be a nice filler for those who can't get enough of the wasteland. Bethesda's announcement is expected in three to four days.
