Lenovo has recently announced the third generation Moto E. According to reports, the Moto E3 and the Moto G4 Play look similar.
The third generation Moto E will have a body that looks very much like the Moto G4 Play and a 5" 720p screen.
The smartphone will be powered by a quad-core processor and will have 1 GB of RAM. The Moto E3 will sport an 8 MP back camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, according to a report from CNET.
It is not known whether the smartphone will shoot 1080p video or not. Furthermore, the device will have a 2800mAh battery and it will come pre-loaded with Android Marshmallow. Some reports suggest that the third generation Moto E will also receive Android 7.0 Nougat.
According to Lenovo, the device comes with a smudge-resistant screen protector. The handset has a base color of white or black and a fairly plain back with Motorola dimple.
Reports indicate that the third generation Moto E will cost $132 without the contract. On the other hand, the Moto G4 Play will carry a price tag of $170.
Some of the features of the Moto G4 Play include 16GB internal memory with microSD support, 2GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC and a 5-inch HD screen.
The Moto G4 Play smartphone will have a 5MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera. The handset will come with Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will have a 2,800 mAh battery.
The Moto E third generation will be available in United Kingdom stores such as Amazon, O2, Argos and Tesco when it releases in September.
According to a Digital Trends report, the handset will release at around the same time in other nations.
Lenovo has also announced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force. The Moto Z weighs 136 grams and its dimensions are 153 x 75.3 x 5.2 mm. The device is available in colors such as white, gold, rose gold and gray.
The Moto Z sports a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. It comes in storage options of 64 GB and 32 GB. The two variants are powered by 4 GB of RAM and Snapdragon 820 processor.
