Telltale Games recently shared at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 the new details of "The Walking Dead" Season 3 video game. The video game will also feature two playable characters this time around.
After the video game's debut at E3 2016, the game developers have finally shared some new details. According to the official website of the game developers, this will be a continuation of the story from the previous two seasons, and it will feature Clementine again. Creative director Dennis Lennart added that the story will branch out a lot and it will show a larger world after the zombie apocalypse happened.
While this upcoming video game is a continuation of the two seasons, this will serve as a way for fans to catch up with the story. Players will be introduced to AJ, the son of Rebecca from Season 2, at the beginning of the story, and he will appear in it as well.
Lenart said that new players will get the chance to learn about the main protagonist's backstory. She will now be in her early teens, and she has a missing left ring finger. She will also be in charge of protecting AJ at all times.
The series protagonist will definitely be playable, but she will have a new companion this time around, Gamespot Players will be able to switch between her and the new playable character Javier. The game developers clarified that they will not be able to play as both of them in the same frame of time.
Lenart explained that the new character is a survivor who is struggling to keep his family together in the game's story setting. He will be a playable character for players who are new to the series. The game developers added that he will be a character that they can totally shape on their own.
A new poster for the video game was also revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 event. It is an homage to the first "The Walking Dead" concept that was shown at San Diego Comic-Con in 2011. Compared to the original concept, the female protagonist looks independent and stands together with the new character.
In other "The Walking Dead" news, the booth of the TV show is offering a unique photo shoot at this year's Comic-Con event. According to iO9, attendees can take a picture together with the statues of the TV show's cast member in a recreation of the season six's finale.
