Selena Gomez's celebrated her 24th birthday with a cryptic post on Instagram that portrayed her turmoil life, the pop singer was on a concert in Jakarta, Indonesia as part of her Revival tour.
In her post, Gomez expressed her feeling of disconnection to herself and music. She said she felt extremely unauthentic, unconnected to both herself and her music. She wrote that she has never really felt like her materials, wardrobe or a video could define her. To her, she acts on a moment and fear something that has not happened.
The American artiste and singer added that she needed to rethink some areas of her life creatively and in person, Independent reported. She also pointed out that she has always said the truth by been true to her word and she has kept on showing who she is but she need to rethink some areas of her life creatively and personally.
According to E! Online, before the show, Gomez appeared to be in great spirits, goofing around with girlfriends and saying on Snapchat she was very excited and happy to be in Jakarta.
She was quoted referring that everybody there was super nice. The crowd sang "Happy Birthday" to her during the concert.
Before performing her song, "Kill 'Em With Kindness," Gomez got perplexed telling her crowd, "I get stupid sometimes saying things that I do not mean, or they come out wrong just because I care so badly." She however noted that at the end of the day, no war anger has ever won.
Earlier this week, Gomez had angered several Twitter users when she defended her friend Taylor Swift after Kim Kardashian posted some clips of the singer and Kanye West discussing his track "Famous."
Gomez had tweeted, saying there are more important things to talk about and people should use their voice for things that matters. Her comment made one person reply, "Good question! Why haven't Taylor or you not said a thing about police brutality or #BlackLivesMatter?"
The star celebrated her birthday with an opening act and also made a birthday plea to her friends, "I ask my family and all my friends to make a contribution for my birthday." She shared http://www.lupusresearch.org/donations/ as the link for those who want to join and share their donations to her.
Her friend Taylor Swift also shared a sweet message on her Instagram page and a throwback pic of the two.
Swift wrote and said she could not imagine her life without Selena, she then wished her HAPPY BIRTHDAY!.
